Zoltán Dörnyei

Zoltán Dörnyei (Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈzoltaːn ˈdørɲɛi]) is a Professor of Psycholinguistics at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom[1]. He is renowned for his work on motivation in second language learning. He has published numerous books and papers on motivation in second language acquisition. He was educated in Hungary and completed his Phd at the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest.

He began his career at the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary. Zoltán has received the Kenneth W. Mildenberger Prize of the Modern Language Association of America and the TESOL Distinguished Research Award[2].
